Cavity Wall Insulation - How much will it cost?
The cost of cavity wall insulation depends on a number of factors such as:
- The size and type of your home
- The fuel that you use to heat it
- When it was built
- The level of grant funding available to you.
Grant funding is made available through the government’s Energy Efficiency Commitment, which places an obligation on energy suppliers to reduce the amount of energy householders use to heat and light their homes. As your installer we would access this funding on your behalf.
Householders who receive one of the following income related benefits are eligible to a larger grant and in some cases can have insulation installed free of charge:-
- Income Support
- Housing Benefit
- Council Tax Benefit
- Disabled Persons Tax Credit
- Income-based job seekers allowance
- War Disablement Pension (must also be in receipt of Mobility Supplement or Constant Attendance Allowance
- Child Tax Credit (and with an annual income level of less than £14600)
- Working Tax Credit (and with an annual income level of less than £14600)
- Disability Living Allowance
- Pension Credit

Your Guarantee

Every Cavity Wall Insulation installation is backed by a 25 year guarantee from the Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency. Once the work is finished and final payment has been received we will apply to CIGA for a Guarantee, and a certificate will be sent directly to you. The Guarantee should be kept safely, as it may need to be produced in the event of a claim or if you sell the property, since the guarantee is also available to subsequent owners of the property.
