Paramount to the energy efficiency of any home is an efficient, professionally installed and correctly specified energy source (generally a central heating system). Current Building Regulations require all new boilers and systems to be highly energy efficient and installed to exacting standards.

Most central heating boilers have an expected life span of 15 years, and while boilers installed in the last few years are of the energy efficient ‘condensing’ type, those over 10 years old are likely to be less than 75% efficient at converting fuel to useable heat.
