In the UK we receive vast amounts of solar energy with the average amount of energy received in a year being as much as 60% of that received on the equator. This radiation is similar to the output of 1,000 power stations.
Solar energy in the UK is far greater than most people imagine. In the summer, when items such as car bodies are often too hot to touch we become aware of the Sun's heat. However, even in the spring and autumn and on clear winter days we receive very useful amounts of solar energy.
Solar energy is a sustainable energy source, the use of which lessens the impact you and your family have on the environment. Using the sun’s energy to heat your water produces  much lower CO2 emissions than conventional energy sources and do not produce any sulphur or nitrogen oxide emissions. They require little or no conventional fossil fuels to run, thereby reducing the effects of climate change and safeguarding the limited stocks of fossil fuels.
We are approved installers under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme, and only use similarly approved equipment all of which meets the high technical and performance specifications required by European Standards BS EN 12975-1:2006 and 12976-1:2006. Our MCS accrediation will enable our clients to claim the Renewable Heat Incentive, a proposed payment for those generating heat from renewable energy, currently under consultation by the government.
Additionally, we are members of the Solar Trade Association, and operate the Renewable Energy Association’s Code of Conduct.
All of our solar installations are covered by the Renewable Energy Installation Guarantee Agency’s ten year insurance backed guarantee, which offers peace of mind by mediating and resolving any installation problems that may arise.
